At the new address the slate goes back down with meticulous leveling. The wedges under it are solid hardwood, made in-house and glued in place.

The slate seams are hand-waxed with pure beeswax. Nothing better than pure bees wax.

In 1989 Dave Thompson decided to take his years selling pool tables and his passion for playing pool itself and started his own company. More than 35 years on, A+ still treats each project with the respect and craftsmanship a piece of history deserves.
Dave has had numerous successes with pool tournaments, trade shows and exhibitions with manufacturers including Brunswick, Olhausen, Kasson, World of Leisure, Gandy and Obsidian. The shop is factory trained by Kasson, World of Leisure, Gandy and Obsidian, and has installed tables for professional players and local football, baseball and TV personalities.

Restored antique tables, for sale
An 8-foot pro-size antique Brunswick from the 1930s to 1940s, with walnut rails and real brass trim. An early-1940s 8-foot table restored by Frank Knapp of the National Billiard Company. An antique 9-foot Brunswick Hot Rod in quartersawn oak from 1905 to 1910, set up to try out. Details and prices are on the listing page, and the inventory changes as tables sell.
